I have committed this summer improving my financial literacy. I have enrolled in seminars and workshops, developed and enacted ways to reduce debt, restricted myself to a budget and pledged to myself to be out of debt by the end of next year.
What a fabulous prize package that would definitely help take care of me. I have seen Suze Orman on PBS several times and on other talk shows!
She is quite dynamic and I always learn a lot from here. Many years ago, I was an Avon Representative! One thing I have done recently that has helped me financially and mentally is make a will. I create a monthly budget and outline each area of my spending.
One thing I plan to do is be debt free. I have already started to budget accordingly each month to pay off any higher interest rate credit cards (2) that I have. Plus make sure I continue to contribute to my Money market account through the Save Youself Program Suzi started with TD Ameritrade, and put back 6 to 8 months worth of savings in my account since I am a single parent of a five year old daughter!
