That’s iNGENIOUS!

iRobot, the company behind those nifty, floor-cleaning robots, is putting on a contest to attract moms like you, who represent the companies, families and communities that are making a difference. The That’s iNGENIOUS Challenge gives you the chance to share the ingenious ideas you’ve used at home, at work or at play to make your life better or easier for the people, places and pets you love.

So rev up your thinking minds and visit That’s iNGENIOUS Challenge site now through December 5, 2009 to add your creative idea. The playing field is wide open! Big or small, online or offline, grassroots or far-reaching – your ideas count and iRobot wants to hear them.

Here’s what’s at stake.

The person who submits the winning idea will receive a prize worth $5,000 – half for you (yea, that’s $2,500 of cold hard cash) to make a meaningful difference in your life and the other half to make a meaningful difference in somebody else’s life via one of my favorite online sites, Donors Choose, a site that helps schools in need.

Second and third place winners get an iRobot product of their choice – neat!

Your idea will be judged based on creative breakthrough (is it an “I wish I thought of that!” idea?) and the practicality of implementation and scalability.
