It’s been just over a week since the kick off of Mommy Summer Camp 2008 and things have gone really well! The kids are happy, the house isn’t a wreck and I’m actually finding time to get my work done without any stress or disruption. But today, I discovered a flaw in my “perfect” plan — my husband.
Before you get ahead of yourself, this isn’t going to be a negative rant about my husband. We’re in this together after all! Even still, our communication is sometimes out of sync, which often results in these planning snafus. Ends up he’s got some things planned that I hadn’t planned and…well…you get the gist…our schedules have clashed and it’s all coming down this week. Ech.
(sigh) Really…this scheduling snafu puts a damper on my attitude more than it does my schedule. I’ll have to move some things around and will still get things done, but still…I feel like having an “it’s not fair” pity party (Why do I always have to…?). But I won’t. Those rarely do any good. So, instead I’ll relish in the wonder of my kids, thank God that I have such a loyal and supportive husband, and simply appreciate this time in our lives that everyone tells me goes by too fast.
